Backyard Camping

Nothing says summer quite like camping. Summertime holds longer days and warmer nights, making it the perfect time for a little overnight excursion. Keep the adventure in your own backyard for a fun and sweet memory of summer activities outside – without the “roughing it” that true camping requires!

Setting: Your own backyard! Find a nice grassy area to pitch that tent (we got ours from TipTop Teepee Shop) – add a few cozy blankets and pillows and you’ve got yourself a nice little campground.

Menu: Good ol’ pb&j sandwiches are a hit with kids and grownups alike. Add some Jiffy Pop, chocolate milk and fresh watermelon slices and your camping feast is perfect.

Decor: Brightly-colored blankets and pillows add a pop of color to our adorable tent, and a quick felt-arrow garland adds a touch of whimsy to your campsite!

Activities: Pop some Jiffy Pop over the fire, play a little kid-friendly dart throwing, then try some stargazing with this constellation guide. What better time to talk about the little dipper than while snuggling with your little one?
