Beatrix Potter Easter Party

What sweeter way to throw an Easter party for your littles than making it Beatrix Potter themed? The classics like  “The Tale of Peter Rabbit” and “Benjamin Bunny,” make it an easy tie-in for this bunny soirée.

Setting: A grassy backyard is all you need to keep things comfortable and quaint allowing those little feet to run bare. Bring in some vintage furniture for props and food vignettes and position them thoughtfully to create a gathering place for your guests. Use organic produce as part of the decor to really bring that farm feel to your party.

Table:  Settle a mini tea party table under the shade of a large tree for the young guests. Hang watering cans filled with spring flowers to tie in the “garden party” theme. Use mis-matched chairs and china to keep things cohesive with the vintage feel.

Menu: Sweet treats in the shape of bunnies and chicks hanging from branches would be enough to tempt even Mr. Rabbit! Cakes and cookies in perfect pastels tied with ribbons or covered in fabric is an easy way to dress them up a bit. Hand-stamp brown bags with the name of each child to add a personal touch.

Activities: It wouldn’t be a party for the kiddos without some activities to keep them busy and having fun! Create a letter-writing station for them to send notes off to the Easter Bunny. Use custom Easter stationary so those letters are sure to be seen by the big guy! Having Potter’s books scattered throughout the decor, lends an opportunity for a sweet moment of reading. And of course the classic egg hunt at the end always brings out the giggles and really gets those babes excited.
