How to Make Branches Bloom

Bring spring blooms inside by forcing the trimmings of your fruit trees to blossom. A week indoors is all they need to bloom.

Materials

  • Fruit tree trimmings (pictured: peach)
  • Garden clippers
  • Small water-filled vase

Directions

  1. Trim fruit tree branches as desired for spring pruning.
  2. Cut the trimmings into smaller sticks and place in a small water-filled vase.
  3. Bring vase indoors and after about a week, little blossoms will begin to appear!

Gardening tip: peach branches aren’t the only types that can be forced indoors – try cherry or apple tree trimmings too!
