Whipped cream in a can is almost a sin when fresh homemade whipped cream is just five minutes away. This makes enough for about 8-10 people to put a healthy dollop atop their dessert. If you have leftovers, freeze individual dollops in wax paper and drop it in your mug the next time you make hot chocolate.
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
Pour heavy whipping cream, vanilla, and sugar into mixing bowl and mix with whisk attachment until peaks form (several minutes with an electric mixer). Over-mixed cream will turn lumpy and butter-like, so be careful! Emma’s sweet secret? Freeze your metal mixing bowl first for perfectly-peaked whipped cream. Make just before serving.
