Painting Furniture

On the dos and don’ts of painting old furniture:

“You really can’t go wrong if you sand well and prime.  Avoid using high gloss paints until you’ve got the hang of things, as it shows more imperfections in the furniture itself, and the paint job.  Satin is a great place to start.  And always use a good clear coat to protect the paint.”
