Spiced Cherry Bourbon Cocktail

Mixed well, this cocktail brings a warm, robust flavor that’s more spicy than sweet. Perfect for slow-sipping at the end of an evening.


  • 4 pitted cherries
  • orange slice
  • 1 1/2 ounces bourbon whiskey
  • pinch cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 ounce simple syrup*


  1. Muddle cherries and orange slice in a cocktail shaker.
  2. Add bourbon, shake, and strain over ice into a lowball glass.

*Simple syrup: 1 part sugar to 1 part boiling water.
